The Remnant Gospel Band November 2015

The coldest night of the year and the warmest place to be was at His Place. The band spread the gospel through great music. Some familiar tunes with wonderful words. This was a different venue to the streets where they normally spread the gospel.

ChildDedication service Sept 2015

In the majority of Protestant denominations that practice it, child dedication is a symbolic ceremony undertaken by Christian parents soon after the birth of a child. This is intended to be a public statement by the parents that they will train their children in the Christian faith and seek to instil that faith in them. In the future the child will be able to make the own decision regarding becoming a born again Christian and undertake full immersion baptism.

Street Pastors 5th Birthday Fellowship Meeting

Street Pastors 5th Birthday street party 31st May 2015

Are 70 Christians volunteers out in Hastings late Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 10pm to past 3am. We are out there to help, care, listen and love. Taking church outside the walls!

A Street Pastor is a Church leader/minister or member with a concern for society - in particular young people who feel themselves to be excluded and marginalised - and who is willing to engage people where they are, in terms of their thinking (i.e. their perspective of life) and location (i.e. where they hang out - be it on the streets, in the pubs and clubs or at parties etc).

His Place on the streets 24th May 2015

On Pentecost Sunday our Minister and a group of us went on to the streets of Hastings and prayed for our town and Chris blew his Shofar. Below is an example of when in early Christian times the horn would have been used.

The Shofar (“Rams’s horn”) was often used as an instrument of spiritual warfare..For example, the Torah states, “when you go to war in your land against an adversary who is oppressing you, you are to sound an alarm with trumpets; then you will be remembered before the LORD your God and you will be saved from your enemies” (Numbers 10:9)

Kairos Prison Ministry  May 11th 2015

Having previously carried a 10ft wooden Cross from Hadrian’s Wall to the South Coast Dave & Chris started carrying the 10ft cross Lands-End to Dover leaving the Friday after Easter.  They did this for Kairos Prison Ministry UK because they have a heart for Kairos Prison Ministry. This was the 2nd time of fundraising in this way. Bruce and Chris from His Place Community Church took a turn in carrying the cross on a small stretch in Hastings.

His Place Community Church - Robertson Street - Grand opening 30th Nov 2013

Handover of Robertson Street united reformed church to His Place Community Church 1st Nov 2013

Since 2013 we have completed roof repairs, restored the balcony for use, and are continuing to repair plaster damage in the far stair wells. We hope and pray that in the next 2 years this grade 2 listed building will be returned to its former state and be used 7 days a week as a community venue as well as a our church. Tours of the church are possible on Tuesdays, Fridays and some Saturdays during cafe opening hours.  Ask in the cafe if you would like to be shown around. We do have  a history information sheet available detailing the whole building and it's construction.
