Community Activities

Our church encourages our members to reaches out to everyone in the community. We give aid and comfort to the community at large. We work together with other churches in Hastings and the surrounding areas  by committing to various outreach programmes. We believe in churches working together in order to provide for the needs of our community and are a part of Church Together in Hastings. Below you will find the organisations that we are currently involved with. You can click on the logos to be redirected to there websites.

Church Together Hastings and St Leonards

Church Together in Hastings and St Leonards. The site has been set up to help you find a church in the Hastings & St. Leonards area and also to promote inter-church/inter-denomination activity in our locality.

You will find details of church services; for details of other activities contact the church’s own website the address of which can be found on via the link on the services page.  We have a newsletter which comes out about six times a  year which can be emailed to all who would like to receive it electronically as well as being available as a download.

Hope Kitchen is a soup kitchen in the centre of Hastings.  They are open Thursday and Saturday evenings and welcome anyone over 18 to have some soup and sandwiches, a hot drink and a chat.

There aim is to provide a warm, dry and safe place to have something to eat and drink but also to offer advice and support in a welcoming and friendly environment.  Some of our guests are homeless and many are poorly housed or sofa-surfing.  We know that many struggle with alcohol and drug misuse and live with physical and mental health problems.  As well as listening we can advise on where further help can be obtained for these issues and we have good links with other local agencies.

(Healing on the Streets ) Dr. Susanne Jones runs the Healing Rooms on the 2nd Saturday of the month 1pm - 2.30p at His Place Art Cafe and Community Centre.  If anyone is in urgent need of prayer and support then please speak to Caroline, Nicky or Chris in the cafe.
